What is this on my baby chick?

My baby chick has a red thing on her butt. It isn’t on her butthole though. I think it might be the umbilical cord. Do you know what it is? I just want her to be ok.

Yep, umbilicus....if you can clearly differentiate this from the vent(butthole).
Put a dab of neosporin on it...and keep an eye on it.
Where did chick come from and how old is it?
