What is this please???

Hi there.......

Here are a couple of picks of one of my little chicks. I am new to chicken keeping so pretty clueless. However until yesterday I thought this little black chick of aprox 6 weeks was a pure Silkie like it's mum. However, it seems to be a bit different in terms of having loads of proper feathers which kind of stick up and curl rather than fluffy like a Silkie or flat like lots of other breeds. I love this little boy/ girl as it really friendly and sweet but would love to know what breed it may be.......does anyone have any ideas??

Thanks for the reply.....I was reading about Sizzles earlier and did wonder if that might be the answer! There is a little white one you can't see on the pick who has 5 toes and is really fluffy with a walnut comb thing coming so I think this may be a proper Silkie. I knew the others were a mixed bunch (thought maybe the hen was just used to hatch the others???) but was certain because of the 5 toes that this black one and the White one would be pure Silkies. I was very shocked when all the curly feathers appeared )

Do you have any thoughts what the other may be? I know they had naked necks. Jersey Giants, Cochins and Frizzle types on the yard? x

to be a pure silkie they have to have the silkie feathers like mom does if they dont then they arent pure even if everything else on them is correct
