So the neighbor knocks on our door today, he had a black chicken in his arms. He had been across the street at the school with his boys and they found this hen wandering around.
Her belly had no feathers on it so she may have been broody at some point in time. We gave her a good inspection. No mites or lice. BUT her feet looked like they might possibly have leg mites. I gave her legs a good spraying of Pam. We've left her outside in the yard to roam so we'll be keeping all of the other chickens inside for a while, until I'm sure she's healthy.
WE won't want to keep her, I'm just wondering what she is... I don't think she is a full standard size... probably has some bantam.
