What is this? Should I be concerned?

I just got this Australorp chick at our local Grange. I noticed she has white "dust" all over, her skin looks dry and her down is missing around her vent. My bf says I'm overreacting, but after i lost a girl this year because of my ignorance of chicken illness...i have to ask. He was thinking this breed just had little naked backsides, but I'm definitely suspicious. Thanks everyone

Looks like normal chick dander to me. Babies are dusty as they are constantly growing new feathers as they mature.
