"What is this stuff!?" they ask!

They didn't know what to do about the snow! After a while they decided that it was safe to go explore.

A little while later while the kids we're out playing in the snow my 5 year old came to get me "Mom, one of the chickies jumped into the other yard!" So hubby and I ran to see what was going on. One of our Easter Eggers, Cleopatra, who is also our flightiest bird, had somehow managed to get out of the coop and into the neighbor's yard. Hubby leaned over the wall and held his arm out for her. Very obediently she came over and jumped up into the wall. She refused to get onto his arm, but she did let him pick her up and take her back to the run.

So shortly thereafter we finally put the bird netting over top of the run. I got it originally to keep Hawks out, but looks like it will also serve to keep those silly chickens in too!

Thats a cute story. I need to get netting for mine too. I have one flighty little girl but my girls dont listen to me as well as your does.

Thanks! I'm surprised she listened so well! She usually won't let's us even get near her.

I got my netting from Amazon. They had some that was big enough to cover our entire run in one piece.

I need to make my mind up where I wanna keep the birds first. Lol im all over the place as to if I want to keep tgem in the delapitated shed or if I wanna do work on the metal barn and own 100000000 of them. Lol
