What is this? Supposedly an EE. Roo?

Update on the muffs. They’re definitely there. Also pretty sure it’s a cockerel. Some splotchy red spots coming in on the wings.
Splotchy red spots doesnt necessarily mean cockerel. I have 2 grey EEs that one has splotchy gold and the other has splotchy copper colors all over the wings. Could you get a pic of the current feather pattern on the wings neck and back?

Yea now I'm thinking cockerel just because you have regularly orangey red and also really dark red, also the massive feet and the posture indicate cockerel. Boy do I wish I had him to breed to my 2 grey and red EEs they would create such pretty chicks.

Yeah it’s pretty apparent now 2 weeks later that he is a he. Unfortunately, he’s not going to be able to stay with us. We only have 5 other hens and a small backyard coop.
