What is this? Worms or something else?

Sorry for the poop picture, but I have noticed this for a few day in my chickens poo. What are the white tube looking things? Is it normal or worms?? Thanks so much in advance.

Are those inside the poo or on top? It actually looks like it's feather sheath particles from molting...

I've only seen it on top. I haven't sifted though the poo

Sorry, but start sifting, lol...

If they're only on top, and they're hollow and dry, then it's most likely feather sheath dust/pieces... when they preen and shake it off while on the roost, it will blow around and stick on wet poo... bet there's more in the corners and crevices of your coop...

I will do some further investigating tonight

LOL! I really did think about the feather particles. I'm still pretty new at this so I was worried.

No worries... better to ask opinions and see... if it was worms, you'd definitely want to treat asap...

i only said tapes because it looked like little segments, like in this one

hadnt even thought about the feather sheaths
