What is this?!

We are getting the hens ready for show and saw this. What is it and what do I do about it? She is 10 months and just finally took her chicks (15 weeks) to the roost. Is this caused by sleeping in the nest for so long?

Hello, I'm not sure what this is, can't tell very well from the pic, but i do not think it's from sleeping on the nest too long. Is it hard or swishy? Does it look like it could possibly be part of a egg/ or food or does it look like it was formed in the skin? If I were you I would try cleaning it out, unless stuck (as in it is built on the vent). Hope someone can help, and she/he is alright.

Oh, well I'm not sure then...that is really weird and I've never ever seen anything like it. I'm not sure what it is, and I'm no help. Hopefully someone can help tho, good luck and I'm sorry.
