What is this?

this red discoloration on the top of my gravity feeders. Is it residue from their combs?

Sure looks like blood. Is anyone injured at all?
Even as small peck on the comb can lead to lots of blood so look for small injuries too.

Looks like blood. How big is that PVC, it looks small? Can you post a side view pic of the feeder. It should be at least 3 inch.

Agreed. What breed birds do you have, any roos? Other folks have had issues with roos not getting adequate nutrition from the PVC feeders b/c of their combs rubbing on the PVC.
