I found this today in the nesting box. Is was fluid filled. All the hens look good and are acting normal.

Lash eggs are the product of salpingitis, an inflammation of the oviduct. Those lash eggs can build up inside the abdomen, and some can be laid. Here is some reading anout salpingitis:

Let us know what it looks like inside. There can be glitches in the egg laying in hens. The outside almost looks like shell color in a dark brown layer. Here is another link about lash eggs:
