what is this?

someone found it in a city near me. I have it in a cat carrier on my kitchen counter. It SQUAWKED this am. so I am thinking it may not be a chicken after all.

It is not a peafowl. Looks like a chicken to me.

It is a White Coturnix quail.

I might take it the Brooklyn Fair and see if a breeder wants it. He? is all alone in a big kennel in my chicken barn . sad and lonely. but active.
