Swollen feather bases sorta under wings on back, kinda where feet would be during mating.

No puncture wounds to my knowledge but it does look like some kind of trauma so maybe. I have not noticed her being picked on. Before the rooster she was good 5 months ago. I have had bad morning sickness (all day very bad) and have not been as watchful for a few months. The rooster ratio is 3 to 1, obviously too low but I have been growing more pullets since may. I have never seen swollen lumps at the base of feathers. They look awful.

Probably more damage from him though young males often will wear the feathers off separate him for awhile if you have another coop or area to keep him from her

That looks like a very old wound to me. Chickens pus is a very odd thing. It gets very hard. Looks like it’s way past the scabbing phase. It would be good if you could trim the feathers and clear a perimeter around the wound it’s hard to see what is happening at the base of the neck (just below your fingers) it looks like grandulous tissue. Seeing the edges of the wound be of great help. You need to see the skin if it’s healing at the edges.

So you think it would be okay to wash it with some warm water and a bit of wound wash to break up the mat and trim the feathers? That area of grandulous tissue is what is concerning me (the lumps). I have treated wounds before but lumps.... never. She will be separate tomorrow as I figure this out and get more pics up. Thanks for your input.
