What is this?

Wrong kind of gopher. I can run a hose down these all day long they will not come out...these are pocket gophers..not striped or flicker tails

Ohhhhh.... well that's good to know... I have no gopher knowledge... and I'm kind of ok with that... please keep your gophers, regardless of flavor, to yourself! ;)

Yeah, keep that critter in your neck of the woods, we don't need those here giving the moles competition.
not to mention the armadillos....

I don't know what the strainer thingie is...I got something similar at a thrift store and use to to scoop/sift poop off the poop boards

We don't have gopher's here; we use them for moles.

I award myself 1 point.

I gave you a little credit,,,,,very little and said you were close..... BUT we use the spike through the head type on moles. These are so violent, you would not want a dog or cat getting into them. They go 8-10 inches underground so nothing can get in them but a pocket gopher.
