It is a small imitation wing nut knock off that comes in multiple sizes and can be spun onto bolts or prongs to hold in non-critical places...

Yay! ... Sue’s pencil is back....I’ve been wondering what it’s been up to... I’d imagined it water skiing, or stuck hanging in an acoustic ceiling somewhere, or married to a bore of an ink pen and raising pill bugs in the county ... but here she is still modeling next to interesting objects on the chicken people site... I’m happy for her... you go pencil!!!!
