What is this?

No, I'll give it up. I got sent a box of freebie energy saving goodies from my power company and this is one of the things that was in there. Apparently it is a filter whistle. You clip it onto your furnace filter and it's supposed to whistle when the filter needs changing.

Well, I was close.

Not one I'd heave ever guessed. Then again, out here we typically have HVAC/heat pump combos and not dedicated furnaces. Doesn't get all THAT cold.

plug on the backside plug like heat lamp, trough heater, when the set temp is reached the contacts inside the black opens and shuts it off could be used for an incubator, most anything

It is a foot and leg warmer. Just put it between your legs plug it in … pull up the blankies and go to sleep..

You might want to check the battery in the smoke alarm first though.
