WHAT IS THIS!!!??

what is this!!! It's on a female hamster. She has 2 other spots that are smaller but similar. Eats and drinks. She shows pain when this is touched. It also smells so bad like dead.

She isn't mine but someone asked me if I knew and I thought I'd give it a try on here. Someone else said bot fly but I'm not familiar with that or how it presents.

Bitty would have a small hole in the skin where the larva dug down and is eating away at her. If it is botfly you’d have to cover the whole the larva breaths out of with Vaseline or something. Then use tweezers to pull it out when it comes up for air.

Does this look like how bot fly would be?

Bot flies are like warbles. It's not that.

I really don't know but with my very limited medical knowledge it seems to be either wounds that have been left infected and possibly become necrotic, or some kind of skin cancer/malignant tumors. It looks very serious.

Not really, unless the hamster was constantly chewing and licking the area because it was irritated. See if you can find a hole anywhere on the body.

The area in the picture is very hard and she doesn't like it to be touched much. It presented quickly and the owner noticed it today when it was bed cleaning day for her.

Not sure but sounds like an infection of some sort. Either a vet or maybe try bag balm. You can get it at tractor Supply even some Walmart’s carry it. If infection it will help draw it out. If a larvae it will help draw it out also. Good luck
