Hi everyone! I have two silkies, one hen and one rooster. They are both 18 weeks old.
I found this outside the coop, and I have no idea what this is. I’ve never seen it before, I’m very worried.
that’s the most updated picture I have of them together.
Thank you for all you’re help.

What do the droppings from overnight look like?

Are they both acting normal - active, eating/drinking, etc.?

I don't think I've seen anything quite like that. I'm going to take a guess it could be intestinal shedding or possibly a cecal core (shedding).

Let's see what @Eggcessive and @casportpony think.

They act and eat normal
And overnight the droppings are just normal
Nothing like this

Can you talk to your regular local vet to see if they would test some droppings for coccidiosis today? If there is not a lot of coccidia present, then there would be no need to treat them.
That’s a great idea, I will be contacting them today. Have you ever had to treat this in your chickens? And what did you use ?

If treatment is necessary the most common medication is amprolium, which you can purchase OTC at tractor supply and feed stores as Corid (livestock section). Sometimes a strain may be resistant and a sulfa antibiotic is used, but Corid usually works. Your vet can tell you for sure if you need to treat.
