The past few days when I checked on my chickens and fed them I noticed almost every one of them including the rooster had this white powder like substance around their nares and edge of beak, I can rub it off and it seems to be there again the next day but not as plentiful and a couple didn't even have it today! I'm thinking its dust because there is dust on top of their waterer, I clean it every day.

I think you’re right. Looks like dust to me, too. Is the dusty-looking stuff the same color as that on the waterer? Do you notice dust in the air in their coop? Does it make you cough? Do the chickens seem to be irritated by it? Is their bedding fresh-smelling? Dry?

You will inevitably have a certain amount of dust, since the chickens love to dust-bathe. If there’s a speck of dust, they’ll stir it up, especially if it’s nasty weather outside. That’s okay. They need to dust bathe to keep themselves free of mites. I’m assuming there’s no problem with any of these things. You seem very vigilant and observant.

As long as your chickens are happy and perky, I wouldn't worry.

It's the same as the color on the waterer, there's a little dust but barley enough to notice, they don't seem bothered other then sneezing a little, their bedding is dry but is being changed this week. My rooster also likes to kick his paws and that is probably stirring up the dust (I don't understand why he does it to be honest lol) its winter here and very cold so they're locked in at all times, spring can't come fast enough for me this year 😔 I feel so bad for them
