He does feel a little warm, but we’re also in a really warm state.
Normal chicken temp is 105 to 107, and can sometimes be as high as 109 Fahrenheit, so they will feel warm and can be totally normal. Lots of things can affect temp. Ambient temp, stress, activity, etc. How they act is often a better indication. You can take the temp by inserting a digital thermometer about an inch into the vent and holding it there until it's registered.

Suffering from a scissor beak deformity, he needs a deep food dish like a bowel well filled to dig right in, the same goes for water.
 
He might like grated fresh carrots and grated fresh apples with some germ oil to replace the canned vegetables. All my chicken are crazy about it.
