For now I would use a cloth and warm water to clean it. If you can get it open then I would put some terrymycin cream in it. If you dont have any ot cant get any then regular neosporin is fine. I didn't even think of Ringworm! What a PITA! We had a kitten come home with it (she didn't show any symptoms) and spread it to both of our dogs, our other cat, and me! I don't know how it is in birds, but super contagious in the rest of us! Both vet and doctor said we all had a 50/50 chance of natural "immunity"...lucky for us, my husband and 2 kids weren't afflicted, they are so itchy!Looks like favus to me.
It is a type of ringworm and can be transmitted to other birds and humans.
Treatment would be to isolate the infected bird and apply miconazole twice a day until the condition clears.
