My hen passed this through today and i dont know what it is. Does anyone have anyone have any input? Its like a super thick latex feeling sack attached to a little sack filled with blood.

that was a soft shell egg and membrane. She'll probably be fine but keep an eye open and make sure there's oyster shell available to her.

What do you feed your birds? Do you have crushed oyster shell available? I agree that this is a weird egg with a tail and membrane. Did you see any evidence of broken egg yolk or egg white? There may be some reproductive disorder brewing, such as salpingitis or a problem with her shell gland, but hopefully this won’t happen again. I would go ahead and give some human calcium with vitamin D, or Tums will work too, for about 3 days. Just pop it into her beak or crush it is a small bit of egg or food. There are a few possible reasons for weird eggs, but hopefully nothing too seeious.

Okay thank you for the advice! I feed them 16% layer pellets and i always powder my left over egg shells and add them in. I also try to give them fruit or veggies as often as possible. I didn't see any yolk but there was some egg white like stuff all around it.
