What is this???

My father brought a roo over to add to my crew and I am afraid to. I noticed this growth on his comb. Can anyone tell me what this is? It makes me nervous as I normally have a closed flock and have never had anything out of the ordinary like this. Thanks for your help. Jeanmarie

Im not sure, my hen at one point had a growth and (this sounds gross) I squeezed it and it all just came out and I cleaned it and it healed back but I really don't suggest this I was being stupid really I had no idea what was in it.
