What is this?

Not sure if this is the right thread for this or not but I bought some “chicken paws” recently and saw this on one of them. Was wondering if this is bumblefoot??? And if it’s safe to eat. They’re frozen but still. I feel kinda icky if it is bumblefoot.

I noticed a few more on other feet as well so I ended up just throwing the whole thing away. I didn’t pay very much anyway so I figure it’s not worth getting sick over.
