Disagreement in my house, did I get a duck or a goose? If it's a goose, are the eggs safe to eat? Currently she (hopefully) is living with our 7 chickens. Thanks.

You have a beautiful goose there. The goose needs another for company.

That's a goose. You can eat their eggs just like any other poultry. Unlike chickens and ducks who will lay for most of the year, geese are seasonal layers, so you won't get a whole lot of eggs from them. It would be best to get at least one other goose for company. I don't think the breed matters.

Gorgeous White Chinese goose. Agreed with the above, the eggs are perfectly fine to eat, and you should get another goose friend.
