2 year old silkie hen started having some balance issues. Brought her inside, been giving eggs and Corid for a few days now. Not much better but this was in the cage with her. It is about the size of a fingernail. I hope this is the start of curing her…

I wish I could tell you what that is, but it looks like pink mucoid poop or lining. In addition to the Corid, I would get some SafeGuard liquid goat wormer or the equine paste and give her 1/4 tsp orally every day for 5 days. Or you could use Valbazen or albendazole 1/4 ml orally once and again in 10 days.

Thanks. I bought some aqua sol liquid and we started her on it tonight. She has had the Corid for about 5 days already so we are going to swap to the wormer now and hope. We are just going to worm the whole flock in case.

Be aware that aquasol only treats roundworms, not capillary, gapeworms, or tapeworms. The others I recommended will treat all except tapeworms. Aquasol is a weaker version of Safeguard meant for treatment in the water and has no egg withdrawal time. Dosage can be complicated, at least for me. Let us know how she gets along.
