ditto njduck. Definately a squash of some sort. I can tell by the plant, the flowers, and the fruit. Should be good to eat if it grows big enough.

Zuchinni "8-ball" it's a round dark zuke, when it gets pool-ball sized you eat it. Did you buy started plants?

I think we may have identified it as a pumpkin.

Dog and ducks had a pumpkin out there last year and the dog helped it travel the yard...

pretty sure it was pumpkin, but with about 329 feet of rain in the last 2 weeks, um, they rotted. Not sure if they will come back or not, the plant doesn't look totally toast yet.
