What is this??

This morning my mom cracked open an egg and found this floating in the whites:




Do you know if this is an Embryo? We have two roosters, but they are about 5 mos so I don't think they are ready to breed. And the egg was laid by one of our old already laying hens, and if it wasn't, well ... The egg was pretty big. My younger hens would have not laid that.

Looks like a meat spot. They occur when a piece of the uterus lining breaks off and is Incorporated into the egg. Happens from time to time.

Meat spot? My dad found a smaller one in an egg that he cracked open before we had roosters. It might have been a meat spot.
