WHAT IS THIS???

Does ANYBODY know what would cause this? A friend took a picture of it but I don't know if it's farm or store bought. Any ideas?

If the chicken is young and just started laying, then the chicken is probably cleaning out their system or still developing a yolk. I had a bantam that did that for a while but got over it and the eggs were fine.

Yes I agree its likely a new layer adjusting her body. Sometimes these things happen.
