Is this your arm? If so, are you aware of any recent injury you sustained? Not sure how we can answer your question as, one would think, you should be in a better position to know what possible causes of injury to your body there have been recently than we are.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Sometimes their egg laying machines misfire and all kinds of crazy eggs can be laid. This looks like two yolks may backed up in the uterus and they both got encased, one yolk getting their first, followed by the other a bit later. There may have been some other foreign object in the oviduct as well and got encased as well along with a yolk.

As long as this doesn't become a habit, strike it up to something going awry.

LOL - gotcha, that happens...OUCH!!.....new picture makes much more sense....
Looks like she had a bit of a glitch in the system there and not too concerning as an occasional happening - though I do like the "chicken bowling" theory
