Hi,

I’ve seen the dosage for administering wazine through water. But I would prefer to administer it directly into them via a syringe to make sure they get it. We only have four. I know some dewormers you can do this with but I have not seen it listed for wazine.

Does anyone know how many ML of wazine per pound of chicken?

Are you using this with laying hens?
Are you treating for roundworms which the label says it is for?

Wazine says not for use in laying birds. It does not have a stated egg withdrawal period, which does not guarantee that eggs will be safe to consume during or after treatment.

Wazine should only be used for roundworms, since it does not kill all worms.

Don't give Wazine undiluted, it is potent. Instead you could use a syringe to dribble some of the diluted Wazine water onto the birds beaks. They will drink the drops off the sides of their beaks. Do not put the syringe directly into their mouths, they could aspirate it.

Treating for roundworms that were a positive ID. Decided will give in the waterer instead. Will use for egg laying hens. It’s fine for them, the bottle says not to because there have been no studies done to validate it for an official egg withdrawal date and the company is not worth investing in it. I am planning to use the two week rule followed by Safeguard for the remaining larvae and another two week withdrawal. So by the end it will be four weeks from Wazine with plenty of time.
