what is wron with this tom!

i was given a tom about 3 months ago and he has been great until today, when i went in the coop this morning he was just laying on the ground...he wont walk and when i nudge he he will try but looks very unbalanced...he seems to be eating and drinking fine.. but im worried he my get the other chickens and hen turkeys sick What should I do?

If you are concerned that your Tom is going to get your other birds sick than it'd be good to move him and isolate him off as best you can. If the Tom had something it's already in the flock. Did you notice any color change in the head? I had a Tom that did similar things but his head changed color to a darker abnormal color.

no Change in his head color... but he doesn't want to walk... I hand fed him this evening and helped him get on his feet, he walked a bit but it seemed like he was whimpering.. if that makes sense.. it was little fast chirping sounds... he did break his nail on one of his feet about a month ago... maybe that foot is hurting him

What variety/breed of turkey is your tom? Is injured toe swollen/foot larger than other?
Place water/food within easy reach and keep on clean bedding.

he is a red bourbon... I had to look that up... I'm completely new to this... he is readying well... and warm under a heat lamp tonight ... and actually the chickens have laid down by him as well. both legs look the same to me no swelling that I can see.. only one of his toenails is gone

he passed last night... man that was hard to deal with this morning.. I really liked that guy .... the rest of the flock seemed to be okay... kinda nervous this morning though

So sorry for your loss. I lost some turkeys. it was really hard.
