What is wrong with my baby chick??

My chick hatched yesterday at around 1:00 pm, so it is roughly 24 hours old. I had a little trouble with it because its umbilical cord was ripped out so I had to use corn starch to stop the bleeding. The chick was fine and has been lively and just fine. I noticed its eye looking like this just now. Any ideas what this could be and what I should do? I am new to chickens.

It's probably just leftover egg matter from hatching. You could try a warm compress of saline solution to try to clean it a little bit, but honestly, I think I'd leave it alone until tomorrow. Giving it another day might clear it up on its own.
