What is wrong with my baby chickens?

Never again will I feed worms to my chickens...I hope that I didn't just kill them.
Its not the worms.. chickens naturally carry coccidia and it's only a problem when too many have been ingested ie coccidioisis.. via fecal droppings.. they CAN (and too often do) get it in the brooder never having touched the outside ground.

Out of the 9-11 strains known to effect poultry only one or two will cause blood in droppings.

Medicated feed is a LOW dose of amprolium.. the active ingredient in Corid.. It may prevent coccidiosis.. but it also may NOT be enough to do so and treatment may still be required.

Definitely start treating your chicks with corid right away. Powder dosage is 1.5tsp per gallon of water for 5-7 days or liquid dosage is 2tsp per gallon of water for 5-7 days. This should be their only source of water.
You giving your chickens worms didn’t give them coccidiosis, so no need to worry there. Coccidiosis is actually more common in brooder raised chicks than chicks raised outside by a hen since they’re exposed to the coccidia at a young age in small doses to build immunity to the local strain.
