It’s been about three weeks. We think we heard her fall at night in a new coop we built that she wasn’t familiar with. The next day she had a very subtle limp. Since then she has ended up like this. Still eating great and laying eggs. About a year old. But heartbreaking to see her like this. Local avian vet is no longer around anymore. She was vaccinated against mareks.

Being vaccinated does not mean she doesn't have Marek's disease.

When was the last/most recent time you brought any new to you birds home?

Can you upload a short video of her walking to YouTube or Vimeo with a link posted here for us to see? Does she hold the leg up next to her, or try to put weight on it?

She was actually the “new” chicken. She came with a friend who is still perfectly fine. That was about a year ago. We have two other chickens here that we’ve had for about 4 years.

Ok great. No new birds recently...that's good.

Is there any swelling or color change on that leg?

Can’t find anything wrong. No swelling, nothing. But I’m positive I heard her fall inside the coop the night before she started limping. We adore our 4 girls. The thing is she was only limping a very tiny amount at first. Now the leg seems completely useless. We are so concerned.

Okay, when I first read the thread it said that if you want to continue, you had to type in the word on the screen like going on Ticketmaster making sure you were not a bot. I will look at them.

After looking at the videos, she is definitely trying to walk on the leg. Mareks could be a possibility, or an injury to her leg which could affect her sciatic nerve or hip. I would separate her in a dog crate with food and water close by where she can reach them. That will force her to rest the leg. You could also try a chicken sling chair if she will tolerate it. Food and water can be placed right in front of her. Here in post 5, 11, and 12 are good pics and a video of slings and the design:
