I would think baby food would at least provide some liquid nutrition but it definitely doesn’t require many meaningful calories.
You could put it in a blender with some rice and some water.

Is she drinking any water?
You could try ice cubes. Some dogs love ice.

If she vomits up what you’ve given her this afternoon I think it’s safe to assume she needs to see a doctor.

Starving is not what will kill her.. if it is an obstruction, she could perforate her stomach or intestines and eventually go into shock, or develop peritonitis. At the very least she will be severely dehydrated from throwing up. A complete blockage will not even let liquid down, and if it’s lower than the stomach the intestines will start dying. If the problem is a vet clinic not being open, then you should really look into an emergency clinic.

thanks i will blend her up some food and she loves ice cubes and i have not really given it any mind but she has not drank much water today

ok i dont think her tummy is hard i think it is just part of her belly but she is doing pretty good im going to go give her some ice cubes and will let you know how it goes in the morning

My honest professional medical advice is still go to an emergency vet. Dog cancer is extremely hard to detect (without blood work) usually by the time they detecte it's, its too late.

I'm not going to pinpoint but there was a lot of misinformation going on on this thread. Which is understandable because it's hard to diagnose something over a computer.

However I will tell you this if a dog cannot keep its food down for days it's a serious issue.

Us humans get diarrhea all the time but diarrhea deaths account for about 4% of all deaths. Common illnesses could also have serious outcomes.

Chances are your dogs probably fine and just had some upset stomach or was just feeling nauseous. But on the flip side if it was something serious you'd be happy u spent a hundred fifty bucks going to emergency vet. However it is your dog so you got to do what you feel is necessary! Good luck!

hi i have a lab mix gracie that has thrown up dog food for the past two nights and she only does it at night she has not had anything really but acouple days ago she had some broth from a brisket but that was three or four days ago she is over weight and eats blue dog food from petsmart what is wrong with her do i need to take her to the vet

Take it to a vet.

I still think since it’s a week day and daytime, you should call your regular vet and get an appointment.

If you don’t have one, and that’s what’s holding you back, google or yelp your zip code and find one with good reviews. Someone in your area will fit you in.
If you can’t afford expensive diagnostic procedures, be honest with the doctor and they’ll do their best to treat your dog with the information at hand.

Without a professional putting their hands on an animal for a thorough exam, everything we’ve discussed for two days is just guesswork.

I’d hate for you to lose your dog to something that was treatable, @thewolf1039.

At six years of age (any age really) cancer is a real possibility as @Duckztailz1 pointed out.
