I don't think I can really help here. I am aware that lavenders are prone to poor feather quality, but I've never bothered to figure out the details.Maybe @NatJ could help you out on this one?
They should replace all their feathers several times in the next few months. Chicks seem to be molting almost constantly as they grow.It will be more than a year before they have a good molt - they are only 2 months old, and their adult feathers are still coming in.
