WHAT is your favorite breed???

Hands down it's my Wyandottes. They are very docile and super friendly. The only thing that I have difficulty with is that my young (8 week old) Wyandottes will swarm around my feet when I'm trying to walk and it is very hard to avoid stepping on toes! They just think that wherever I am must be the best spot to forage in :lol My older silver laced roo is very calm and good to the ladies, although not as friendly as my babies since I didn't hand raise him. I can reach down and pick up any of my 8 weekers with no struggle or running. I will often just sit with them swarming around me and pet them each as they scratch around. Not a one will run from me.

All the other breeds I have had have been stand-offish. For egg laying though my best are my 2 golden comets. They lay a very large brown egg and one of my girls will occasionally lay 2 in the same day.

As for the funny scale, my Mille Fleur is absolutely hysterical to watch. She is so fast and is always sneaking in between and under my other hens. She is my roos favorite girl too and he protects her from the other girls.
