What color is the chest on yours and some others?
Peahens are very unpredictable about where they will nest. However they lay late in the afternoon/evening. If you see her seeming agitated or trying to act sneaky.. follow her from a distance. More than half of my free range peahens nested very far from their main hangouts, so don't be surprised if she lays a good distance away from the barn, even if she hangs out there all the time. for example one of my peahens that never wandered from my one acre yard would always nest in a yard 2 acres down...
