My opinion is that everyone should do it if they can because it's more natural for the birds,healthier birds,eggs,meat,they aren't locked in the pen and coop all day sitting there eating the chicken food,if they free range they eat less chicken food and you save money because they eat all kinds of things like bugs,grass,leaves etc. Leave the birds in there pen and coop for at least a week so they no that that coop is a save place to roost and sleep cause if you let them out when they have only been in there for a couple day they won't know that coop is home and they will sleep in any O'l bush,tree,tractor,something. There's more I could say but I'll stop here.......what's your opinion on free ranging???
