What is YOUR persimmon forcast?

Gosh darn it, why didn't I read this a week earlier?!
Well, all the persimmons got baked into bread (3 trees and yes, I mean ALL of them). Guess I'm going to be left hanging about my forecast...

I can't get persimmon anymore, now that the family farm is gone, but the kid at the feed store told me that the hornet's nest are hanging low and that means a mild winter. First time I ever heard that!! You know, has anyone ever seen persimmons at the store for sale? I think that is one "local" fruit I have never seen. Fed a green one to a horse when I was kid and laughed myself sick over the expression on his face when he bit into it!! Not nice, but it sure was funny.

Folks? It's that time!

What are your persimmon forecasts, and name your area and state.

I'd go first, but we haven't any persimmons and I have to find some local...I'll let you know about NW Arkansas in a couple of weeks.

I have a few persimmon trees in my chicken run. I'll grab a couple when I go out there tomorrow. What am I supposed to look for? Never heard of forecasting with them, lol.

Ooooh! Perfect, as ypu're right here in the KC area!

You cut the seed in half, like the pic at the top of the thread, and look for the shape of the seed to be a knife, fork or spoon.

Wild, but fairly accurate, somehow!

x2... I don't have any, but as my wooly bears are trying to play mind games with me this year (one has no stripe, one was completely orange!!) I wanna know, too!

Dangit! I miss my persimmon tree...
