What is your quail hatch rate!?

I just had a 100% hatch llast week, from my birds eggs. Got some shipped eggs in now. Since you just moved them outside exspect another couple weeks. Mine were laying heavy through winter in my shed. I moved them outside about 6 weeks ago and most stoped laying and still have not started. Dave

@davedavey mine weren't laying inside my garage (which has a bunch of windows in the door so does have light). They were in there a month and finally we moved them outside and still nothing. Givin their shorter life period I feel like 6 weeks is a long time for them to not lay eggs!

I got quail and I have my breeders now and am waiting on eggs to incubate, then plan on eating most of the next generation of quails... but my quails STILL aren't laying (see my other thread and answer please!)

When I do finally get eggs I'm curious about hatching rate. I have 1 male to 3 females so eggs should be fertile (when I get eggs).

What percentage of eggs do ya'll get to hatch? I know this various due to different incubators but still...
usually soon as they start laying they will be fertile. if your male is old enough I have hatched first eggs from females before (don't recommend this as eggs are usually smaller which means smaller chicks) I wait until 3 eggs from female then incubate from then on I have had 100% hatch of 50 eggs before couple times but average is high 90's in spring summer and 70s in winter. I have cabinet incubator but started with little giant still air. had high 80s with it and no turner. I just sent 72 eggs to guy in Michigan and 2 broke during shipping so incubated 70 had 63 hatch so was a 90% hatch for him on my eggs I shipped him. hope this helps. and best advise I can give you is get autoturner save you time. coturnix hatch easy

I only hatched one time before (second batch is in now, so i'll update next week when they hatch :)), but for my first ever batch - I had just under 50% hatch. I had issues with humidity at lockdown, so lost a few in the hatching process - dried out :(

but anyway, still, got 24 out of 50.

Hope

So far with this hatch we have a 13%, one died a day later. This is our first time hatching. I'm giving them another day just in case.
I followed the directions that I found here and they were pretty much the same as what the directions to the incubator had.
I'm beginning to wonder if the hygrometer or thermometer were maybe not right.
We opened 4 eggs that only had yolks. The rest I'll check in another day.
