What isn’t the actual breed of these geese?

Go at different times to see if she is sitting she may just be laying her clutch and she isn’t ready to sit yet, could you see how many eggs were in the nest.

I just came today and she still isn’t on her nest, her and her mate are by themselves just hanging around doing their own thing separate from the other embdens here. I did check the other day and counted 5 eggs. I heard they can lay a lot is that true?

Snow geese winter here in huge flocks. Here's what they look like, this is just a small portion.

Usually 8-9 is about their pick for a clutch and they only lay every other day. Once she begins to sit she will really be susceptible to predators her and her mate both.

@SueT you think they are Snow geese?

Snow geese are much smaller and have black on there wings.
Miss Lydia, I see what you were asking. No, I don't think the OP's geese are snow geese. I was just posting pics of snow geese so the OP could see the contrast in looks, size, and flock habits--. As MasterOfClucker says, snow geese are pretty small. And they flock together. They nest way up in the arctic.

Well just wondering because the geese the op was referring to sure looked like my Embden. Someone has dumped them out poor birds. And I knew Snow geese didn't nest in the US so I was a bit confused. Just me :p
