What just eats the heads?

Mothers day, on my way to the tool shed first thing in the morning I jumped a big ol hawk off of one of my caunas. That was the first thing he did was eat the head. (all he had done yet anyways)

It's not likely an owl would eat a goat, though I have no idea how big a two day old goat is.
If the chicken was eaten through a fence it might have been a fox or racoon. Not sure a racoon would take on a baby goat though.
Had a coon get in the coop and it was working on the head end as I recall. Beat the coon but did not examine the bird when I disposed of it. I was too upset.

Did a google search and came up with Foxes and weasels. Still not sure what part of the goat got eaten.

My vote is Owl. Anytime I have had a raccoon kill something they eat more than just the head. If it was a weasel or mink- they will bite the head- but usually don't eat the head off. Hawks tend to go for the breast.

Owls can and will kill baby goats, if an owl can kill a skunk it can easily kill a little goat.
