This afternoon, I went to let the dog out, and saw white feathers poking out from underneath the grill. Does anyone know what killed my blue egg layer?

Was this a daytime free-range incident then? Or?
I have most of the birds in a coop right now, but her and her two leghorn friends (who don’t seem to be injured) have been free ranging. I know she would have been killed in the last two days, but I was away for the weekend and don’t know what time of day she was killed. I know that the leghorns sleep in the trees, but I think she slept in a ground level nest box. So it could be a climbing predator, but I’d wager more on a ground predator.
