What killed my chicken?

I counted my roosters today, I am missing 2 more. A man did come and adopt one today.

In 8 years, this is our first predator loss. We have had 3 unsuccessful hawk attacks over the last few years. Otherwise nothing. Flock is 36 chickens.

Def something smaller, and it killed because it was actually hungry, opposed for sport - which should be encouraging to some extent.
