One of my chickens died today. He would've been 13 weeks old tomorrow. He was with another rooster that seems normal. I'd like to know if anyone could help me figure out what he died from to make sure my other (I also have 12 hens in the coop next to them and I have 6 little ones I need to put in that coop) ones are safe. I got him at 2 weeks old and he has always been a bit of a loner. Never interested in anything. When I would give the boys treats he was never interested. I open the run so the boys could go out to free range and he always stayed and would always be on the opposite end of the run sleeping. He slept a lot. Everytime I'd go out he was sleeping. Almost always he would sing/talk. He rarely walked. This morning I went out to check on him. He was still in the coop and I got him. When I picked him up he felt very light. My 7 weeks old ones feel heavier to me. I've seen him eat and drink. His comb is a lot lighter and smaller than the other rooster. I could post a picture I took after I saw him dead. If that is okay let me know. It's not gross. It kinda looks like he's sleeping on his side. Any ideas what killed him?

Edit to add more information. I feed them medicated chick starter and give them acv in their water. I have also noticed green poop and some diarrhea (green too).

AW, sorry about your loss. It always sucks when that happens and you don't know why. But it sounds to me like there may have been something wrong with him all along. It happens. But at least you gave him the best of life while he had it...
