What Killed my chickens and rabbits

I'm so sorry! I would guess a raccoon or fox, but I'm not sure. I do know a way to prevent it. Outdoor radio. You can buy one anywhere. Set one by the coops and hutches. It doesnt have to be loud, just loud enought to hear it in the coops/hutches. Turn it on at night and any predator will think your waiting for them so you can strike! Easy and effective. What could be better? Best of luck!

I don't think it is a raccoon because of the wound marks on the rabbits. There were deep large puncture wounds. Much too large to be a coon. I'm thinking it is a neighbor's dog now. I had another attack and what was left of my flock is gone.. This time in the middle of the day while I was at church. So I'll be talking with my neighbors today. Thanks for all your help!

Two years ago my mother had the exact thing happen. I went to her house and waited the next night near the chicken house. I set two live traps also. That night I shot six racoons in the house and caught two more in the live traps. The next evening I killed three more. The problem stopped. The coons will kill everything they can at once and can cause the deep puncture wounds you're describing. The can also open nearly every type of door or latch.

I remember when I was very small and living in Arizona. My parents raised chickens and rabbits. One day, we went on an errand somewhere. When we got home, all the chicks and bunnies were dead and I don't think there were any signs of trauma. We had no idea why they died. It was so strange. I wanted to be a veterinarian so I could find out why they died, but that never happened.

That sounds like a dog. Dogs are known to shake small animals to death.
