What killed my goose?

I found my goose dead with all the feathers and skin ripped off of its neck from its chin to its chest. I had just introduced a new goose to the flock. Is this the way geese kill other geese? I am brokenhearted thank you so much.

No, it is not the way geese kill other geese. It sounds very much like a raptor kill. If it happened overnight, likely a Great Horned Owl.
