What killed my kids?

Doesn't have to be acid rain, they can just get chilled and actually freeze to death because they lost all body heat and couldn't get warm.

At any age, they need an enclosed shelter that is totally out of the weather. Even if they stay out and play in the rain, they need a place that is weatherproof where they can go in and dry off.
yes..agreed.

Its just shocking to see that in the summer of Texas, that very light rain could freeze them to death.

But I don't have any other explanation rightnow... so better I will be more careful next time.

My DH informed me that I shouldn't have said 'freeze' but that hypothermia set in and that is what killed them. I was trying to make it easier to understand but, maybe I chose the wrong words. The babies got a chill...at their age, they needed a heat lamp to help them get dry and their temps back to normal.
