I raise Orphington Chickens so last year I went to tractor supply to get a few chicks to put under a broody hen that had lost her babies :( so while I was there the worker I was talking to was telling me about these certain kind of chicks I walked over to look at them and there was 1 that couldn't walk it would only flop around so the woman said do you want this chick for free if not we will need to kill it, well of course I wasn't going to let that happen so after getting 4 chicks for my broody hen I took all 5 home,I put 4 under my broody and the sick one I took in the house me and my daughter worked with this baby for over a week and got it to walk and run around so after it was all better and about 3 months old I put her with my flock I named her Goldie hen,she now has babies of her own but idk what kinda hen she is so any information would help ty and God Bless. The baby chick pic is of Goldie when she was a baby.the other pics are her now.

Congratulations on saving Goldie - she's a beautiful hen! And it's so neat that she has had her own chicks! :clap

My guess is that she's a red sex link, maybe a Cinnamon Queen..? She looks a bit like the New Hampshire hens I've had (but even more like the NH crosses), especially with the dark markings in her tailfeathers.
thank you so much for your reply,..Goodness I'm a pushover for any living thing I just couldn't let them kill her without even trying to save her and I'm so glad I did:) thank you again

You're most welcome - Goldie's story reminds us all that this world needs more kindness in it. You made all the difference to her (and her progeny)! :highfive:
